Great course set by Len, starting near the pointy end of this triangular map.  Which way out of the start? So many options.  Like others, I headed for nearby no 13, hoping for the shortest route to miraculously appear by the time I got there. It didn't.  More pausing for thought, before I eventually went north - only because I am too familiar with those southern hills!  More decisions to be made all the way; take care in those oddly angled streets in the northwest (they always trick me). Glorious downhill to no 9, then a long slog back to the finish, No-one else in sight as I run around the oval - quick dash to the line to be first back!  Ruth is right on my heels, the other D course runners start to appear, and we all compare notes and distances.  Before long we are joined by the C, B and A runners, then the power walkers. The evening is alive with conversation as we mull over our maps.  That's what it's all about!

First back on A were Steven, Russell and Stephen.  Visiting UK orienteer Eleanor cleaned up on B course ahead of Damian and Geoff, making the most of her trip down under.  Dennis, Fiona and Andrew crossed the line quickest on C, while I made it back ahead of Ruth and Ewen on D.  Dave's 61 points was enough to win PW ahead of Ian, Barry, Kelvin and Bernie.

There was no change to the top 3 on A course, with Steven on a perfect run of four wins, ahead of Russell and Stephen.  Damian moved into the lead in B, ahead of Stuart and Geoff.  Some changes on C course saw Dennis, Reg and Fiona fill the placings.  Ewen and I are tied for the lead on D course, with Ruth third.  Len heads PW with Barry and Ian still second and third.

See you this Thursday at Eltham - lots of parks and riverside trails to enjoy.
