Margaret fnishing at full speed

On a lovely Thursday night the Historic Williamstown railway line was used to separate the two sections of the map used on the second Western Thursday event, giving the 42 participants a really different O night out.

At the start all participants were given two maps with only one map allowed out on the course .You were allowed to come back at any time and change maps.

The two map concept allows for the closer bunching of the controls making it possible to obtain much higher scores than normal. Needless to say this was a very popular intiative.

Joggers/ runners were given the option of a 60 mins score event or a 45 mins score event. Power Walkers had a 65 min Score event. All courses used the  two maps.

 It was interesting to observe that there were six men and six women choosing the A Course  of 60 min. With many covering the full course of 9.8 K in the time alowed.

NEXT EVENT

The next event in the Thursday night series will be on the  Glengala map.It will be interesting to see what will be put forward to test our O Skills!
