Apex Park Three Map challenge

The Apex Park event involved a Hageby map for use in the Apex Park area -on the map specially prepared by Don Fell.

This was followed by a two map score event which was very well received by the family groups, as it meant lots of points in a smaller area.

The start was worth filming as competitors doing the same course headed off in different directions-Hoping  for reassurance that they weren't making a monumental error. Some commented that it took them almost half the course before they felt at home.

It was great to see the Lovell and Paynter clans doing so well first up on a map that required a fair degree of map reading skills. Finishing the course was no mean effort!

Final Event in Series.

The final event in this series will be held on the challenging Keilor East map. Its a great area for orienteering.
