Park and Street Orienteering Championships
The 2018 P&S Orienteering Championship Final, Tuesday 27th February, 2018
The 2018 OV Park&Street Orienteering Championship Final will be held on Tuesday 27th February, 2018 on the Valley Lakes map in East Keilor (Western Series).
Qualifying events will again be held in conjunction with scheduled events in all Melbourne P&S Series, Geelong Series and the Macedon Ranges Series starting on the 7th February, 2018. Details are listed in the 2018 Champs Flyer (see link below or collect at all Series events).
The 2018 Championships will be conducted using the orange series of age groupings (see Champs Flyer link below) and the Championship Final course setter is to be announced here shortly.
Age eligibility is based on your age as at 31st December, 2018.

Additional Conditions for the Finals
The Qualifying events are conducted under the rules and conditions of the event of the day.
The Final is also conducted under the rules and conditions of the event of the day plus the following conditions:
(1) Punch Marks - at least 50% of the control punch marks must be recorded in the correct square on the control card (on the line is in) otherwise the control will not count.
(2) Starting Instructions - Finalists must adhere to the instructions concerning the collection and management of the maps prior to the GO instruction
(3) No Groups - Finalists are expected to participate independently of other event participants.

Over 60 Finalists gathered at Bellbird Dell to tackle a physically tough
course, where the shortest routes were almost impossible to discern.
Careful map reading was required in the Dell, and the event was a true
test of both skill and stamina. Bruce Arthur's unbroken streak of Open
Mens wins was retained, but Rachel Johnson had to hand over the Womens
title to Lanita Steer, who won by the narrowest of margins.

White Series: Running Championships
