Joining and renewing your Orienteering club membership 2017
When you
join an orienteering club, you join Orienteering Victoria (OV) at
the same time. Membership is for a calendar year from January 1st;
new members who join from October 1st will have their membership
rolled over to the following year.
The Australian Orienteer quarterly magazine comes with your
subscription. You can choose the hard copy or access to the online version.
Associated Schools and Organisations receive the magazine as part of their
membership. Besides the $5 taken out at the OV stage of the online application
the rest of the OV membership fee comes out of the club membership fee.

You can join or renew your membership of your club and OV using Eventor,
an online registration system. Eventor is Orienteering Australia's
central IT system, managing events, entries, results, membership and reporting.
Renewing members open Eventor eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events and follow the steps
below.
Login to Eventor, go to My pages: My memberships and click on the
renewal link. Choose your membership options and pay online. You can now renew
and pay for the memberships of other family members, living at the same
address, at the same time.
The existing membership methods for adding membership will still be
available and will still be needed for registering new membership.
A new family member will still need to register a personal Eventor account.
New Members need to
register with Eventor before applying for membership, eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Register and following these steps.
1) On
the left menu click on My pages – My memberships. This will show you your membership
status.
2) Click
on ‘Apply for Membership’.
3) Select
Year: 2017
Select State: Victoria
Select Club: _______
You then will see a summary of your
membership options.
4) Click
on ‘Next’ at the bottom of this screen, to select your options.
5) Select
one option from each section. For the purposes of Eventor, you’ll need to make a membership selection at the OV
level and another at the club level.
6) At
the bottom of this page, check/correct your personal details.
7) Next
– takes you to a summary page. Check the details and what you have agreed
to pay – if this is all correct, then ‘save’ to proceed to payment.
8) Payment
is via the usual Eventor options: PayPal or POLI (via your own bank
transfer).
Inquiries: Contact membership Secretary, Rob Edmonds, rob.edmonds@bigpond.com
