Community Orienteering

Students from Year 7 spent ½ a day learning how to navigate in the parkland area at Brimbank Park, Keilor.

What did the students learn?

How much exercise did they do?

If students completed 2 courses they took approx 5000 steps.

What a great way to get fit!

The next two ‘Park and Street Orienteering’ events for your calendar are:

  1. Tuesday 11th March Essendon:   meet Essendon Station car park, Rose St opp. Miller St.

                      Melways 28 G4

  1. Tuesday 18th March Altona Pier car Park, north end of Fresno Street  Melways 54 H9

The events start at 7pm so you need to get there between 6.20pm and 6.30pm to register and become familiar with ‘what to do’. When you arrive: go to the Registration Table and say ‘we are new, from Gilson College’ and you will get help. If unsure ask for Ken or Jenny – they know you are coming!  Make sure you write “ GIL” on your control card so we can track Gilson College Community people attending.

Remember to access our website, and view the special Gilson College page.
